Trainees of the Kuwaiti Saud Al-Nasser Diplomatic Institute visited the Amricani Cultural Centre today. They toured “al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization,” the Story of Amricani exhibitions, and the children exhibition “The Home of Kind Words.” They concluded their visit by viewing Modern Architecture in Kuwait.

KIPCO guests from POLAT Holding in Turkey visited the Amricani Cultural Centre yesterday. The gentlemen explored the “al-Fann: Art from Islamic Civilization” from The al-Sabah Collection exhibition, with special attention on objects from the Ottoman Empire. The tour was enjoyable and the group expressed interest in coming back when they had more time.

Sheikha Intissar Salem al-Ali al-Sabah and her guests visited the Yarmouk Cultural Center and took a “behind the scenes” tour of The al-Sabah Collection.

H.E Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission visited the Amricani Centre this morning. He explored “al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization” exhibition, and “The Story of Amricani”; a multi-media presentation. He showed an interest in the artifacts on display, and the architectural design of the building.

Prof. Dr. Ugur Unal, General Director of the State Archives of the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey to Kuwait visited the Amricani Cultural Centre. They toured “al-Fann: Art from Islamic Civilization” and the Story of Amricani exhibitions.

Employees of Kuwait National Museum, guests from Gulf Cooperation Council, and experts from Jordan and Morocco visited the Amricani Cultural Centre today. They toured “al-Fann: Art from the Islamic Civilization” and the Story of Amricani exhibitions.

Dr Ahmed Saeed, with a group of graduate students from the Department of History and Archeology at Kuwait University, visited the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah at the Yarmouk Cultural Centre. They reviewed history books and references to enrich their academic studies and research.

H.E. Thailand Ambassador to Kuwait Mr. Rooge Thammongkol and Counsellor Mr. Wattanachai Nirundorn visited the Yarmouk Cultural Centre today. They explored The al-Sabah Collection with the Collection Manager and Curator Mrs. Salam Kaoukji. At the end of their visit, a valuable gift was given as a representation of the art and culture of Thailand.

A group of students from Ajial Bilingual School, with their teacher Ms. Samira and a group from Kuwait English School, with Ms. Ronelle, explored the Amricani Cultural Centre and learned about being DAI volunteer docents. They were briefed on the organisation, toured the facilities, asked questions, and played with some of the Harvard University Project Zero…

Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah is preparing to participate in the Diriyah Islamic Arts Biennale. A delegation from the Diriyah Biennale Foundation visited the Amricani and Yarmouk Cultural Centres to discuss the upcoming exhibition, which will open in Jeddah- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in early 2023.
